On Sunday 24th May 2026, our CEO and founder, Paul Spence, will take part in the Cape Town Marathon alongside long-term charity supporters and friends Neil Hudgell and Matt Dass.

Why are the team taking on this monumental challenge?

Paul, Neil, and Matt are running the Cape Town Marathon to support people affected by brain injury in our local community. They will be proudly representing and raising funds for P.A.U.L For Brain Recovery.

Every donation, no matter the size, makes a huge difference and will directly benefit individuals and families in our local area.

What our service users say ....

I suffered a stroke, which changed my entire life and left me paralysed down the left side of my body. If it wasn’t for the charity, I wouldn’t be here today. Before that, I used to sit at home and cry. But now I look forward to getting up in the morning and coming to the charity. The charity has saved my life, and by attending the charity’s sessions, I have made so many new friends.”
— Tracy, service user

Your support could help Tracy, and many others access the help they deserve after acquired brain injury (ABI).

Your support will make a difference

Every donation is truly appreciated. Your kindness will help more people receive the support and guidance they need after brain injury.

By contributing to this fundraising challenge, you will help P.A.U.L For Brain Recovery continue to deliver free, vital community support sessions that empower our service users to take positive steps towards reaching their new potential.

Our sessions and activities help people to:

  • Avoid crisis
  • Manage a life-changing – often invisible – disability
  • Learn to accept their chronic condition
  • Feel understood and supported by others with similar experiences
  • Improve their quality of life

From everyone at P.A.U.L For Brain Recovery – THANK YOU for your support.

We couldn’t do it without people like you.
